Flea Market Find

This past weekend, I loaded up the kids and headed off to the flea market. The one we have here is small but it's so fun because they have a petting zoo and little taco stands everywhere. Oh and this time I found a fruit stand that had freshly sliced papaya, melons, grapes, berries, and more. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it was in Mexico!
I am no "Pro", by any means, when it comes to flea markets and yard sales but I'm learning and loving it more each time I go! So for my beautiful find. It's a "Bean Pot with a serving basket." I saw it and fell in love! It's my favorite color and it's the perfect size to serve anything from a pot of beans to a winter stew.
As odd as this may sound, I have bonded with this cute little "Bean Pot" and plan to make it a regular addition at our family dinners!

That's a great find! I love flea markets and yard sales so much! I'm not a pro either, I just feel bad negotiating when the prices are already so low!

I know what you mean about bonding with a serving dish - that really sounds funny when I re-read that sentence, lol!!! My Grandfather had this intricate silver pickle server. It was so nice! It looked like it belonged to the Queen of England. I miss that pickle server!
:-D

Awesome find. I have never been to a flea market but I have been to my share of garage sales. My Dad is obsessed with them too. He always manages to find the weirdest yet cutest stuff. I have to say the one thing I am most proud about finding at a garage sale is my vintage Strawberry Shortcake doll house. I bought it for $4 and it is worth over $900 on ebay. I would never sell it but I totally lucked out huh? I'm obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake...hehe.

Thanks you guys! I love that we can all relate.
Rain- You have no idea how relieved I was to hear that I was not the only one to become emotionally involved with a serving dish! ;)

LadyBug- I'm thinking that you should loan me your dad next time I go to a flea market or yard sale!

Momo- Thanks Girl!

Goat- It's much bigger than it looks in the picture. We may be eating beans for a while! ;)

Lover of Life- I think that's one of the reasons I fell in love with it. It has so much personality! You're right, it really is the little things that matter. That would have made a great title for this blog!! ;)
